Did you know that the Lescar is named after two water wheels (Upper & Lower Lescar) on the river Porter.The Hotel was formaly called the Porter Tavern & Sharrowvale Road was called Lescar Wheel Road. There is a grinding wheel on the Lescar Pub sign.
